As SPP forces attempted to evade, both sides scrambled reinforcements to the area, creating a chain reaction that escalated the engagement into a full-blown battle. Above the colony, fleets from both factions clashed amidst chaotic interference from the storm, making targeting systems unreliable and forcing ships into close-range, brutal combat.
