The United Nations Space Navy is a branch of the United Nations Marine Corps focused on the operation and maintenance of the UNMC's fleets, as well as handling military logistics for the UNMC.

<div style="text-align:center; margin-top:-10px;">
This branch contains all typical navy related personnel, such as Engineering and Requisitions.
Colony Marshal Bureau Deputy
</div>
Ranks: Deputy

CMB Deputies are the primary law-enforcement officers for United Nations colonies. Equipped with shotguns, revolvers, and armored jackets, these Deputies are often the first line of defence against Colony Liberation Front activity. Oftentimes, their tasks are more mundane: investigating murders, recovering stolen property, cracking down on smuggling, and preventing many other crimes which can often occur on the frontier.
(In the spirit of keeping ranks and their titles easy to comprehend and understand, Navy ranks are not used or applicable to RMC.)

* Survive the Xenonid outbreak.
History
* Update your superiors about the situation.
Like many United Nations military branches, the United Nations Space Navy was formed shortly after the formation of the United Nations Marine Corps as its primary transportation and ship-combat arm. Although combat was initially limited, the UNSN would see it's first major deployment during The Orthis War, mobilizing hundreds of different warships to aid in the effort to retake Orthis from the rebel force. Because of the forces they brought to bear, the UNSN was confident that they would be able to handle any significant resistance, and would be resting on their laurels as the ground was cleaned up.
* Redeploy or contract to take back the colony.

The Orthis War would turn into an unmitigated disaster for the United Nations Space Navy. Poor coordination between not only the ground and air forces, but the UN and the Three Suns Empire would lead to anti-warship surface-to-air batteries destroying many spaceships, and killing thousands. After four years of conflict, and the close of the Orthis War, the UNSN would be left to pick up the remains of their fleets.

<div style="text-align:center; margin-top:-10px;">
In the wake of Orthis, the UNSN was forced to determine the systemic flaws within the Branch. A lack of significant push-back up until the war had lead to many members of the Navy being content and unprepared for legitimate conflict. Failure to communicate and coordinate with other ships, organizations, or groundside forces was also determined to be a substantial point of failure, and resulted in the UNSN reconsidering their organization, training, and preparedness. Eventually, these realizations would lead to substantial reforms, forming a more competent, capable Navy.
Colony Marshal Bureau Marshal
</div>
Ranks: Marshal

This Role Requires the Commanding Officer Whitelist!
These reforms would bear fruit during Operation Justice. As a result of strategic reorganization and tactical training, losses among the Navy during Justice would be limited and low, despite the disaster the operation proved to be on the ground.

CMB Marshals are the heads of a CMB Precinct within a colony. Highly skilled, they're equipped with resilient armor and a shotgun, and have overseen dozens of investigations, arrests, and dangerous situations requiring that the law be upheld. These Marshals are very familiar with commanding around subordinates, and are expected to represent the highest standard of professionalism and ability which all CMB Deputies should strive to meet. Due to their skill, they typically aren't involved in minor crimes: Instead, they take the forefront on investigations into rebel activity, breaking up criminal gangs, and mass-murders, among other crimes.
In the modern day, the UNSN continues to patrol and watch over their assigned sectors. On the frontier, this watch has proved vital not only for dissuading naval incursions by the Socialist Progressive Peoples, but also mobilizing marine companies to worlds in distress, either from rebellious threats to more exotic dangers native to the outer reaches of the United Nations.

* Survive the Xenonid outbreak.
Organization & Operations
* Update your superiors about the situation.
The United Nations Space Navy is split up across multiple different fleets, which are stationed in multiple different regions, from the inner territories to the Frontier. These fleets are further subdivided into Task Forces, which are each tasked with patrolling and protecting an assigned sector.
* Investigate the origin of the Xenonids.
* Redeploy or contract to take back your home.

Task Forces are assigned with different duties depending on the ship class, capabilities, or armament. The UNSN is responsible for patrolling areas of space controlled by the United Nations, but may also be called upon to engage in naval skirmishes with rival powers such as the Socialist Progressive Peoples when nessecary.

<div style="text-align:center; margin-top:-10px;">
On the border territories, Task Forces are also assigned the duties of border patrol, preventing unlawful incursions. This duty is especially important in the The Zephyron Sector, where the DMZ remains an ever-present factor. Diplomatically deadlocked from posting large-scale fleets to the border of this DMZ, the UNSN has settled for occasionally deploying patrol craft, although they maintain a steady eye on the Demilitarized Zone from Chinook Station.
Colony Marshal Bureau Riot Officer
</div>
Ranks: Officer/Senior Officer

CMB Riot Officers are officers trained in handling large-scale riots and social instability. Equipped with armour and helmets with face-protection, they're often found on colonies which have seen widespread rioting, looting, and mass-panic, as well as prison facilities in case the inmates try to break out. These Riot Officers are often Deputies who have been selected for their ability to remain calm under tense situations, as well as an ability to disengage and avoid provocation.
The UNSN operates many different types of ships, ranging from aircraft carriers and destroyers to frigates and patrol craft. Oftentimes, these ships will have a Marine company placed on-board, allowing for most UNSN Task Force ships being capable of responding to distress signals. Patrol Craft are the most well-equipped for such operations, being lightly armed as a trade-off for containing a large, well-equipped Marine compliment.

* Survive the Xenonid outbreak.
The Space Navy is also required to maintain the ever-important logistics of the UNMC, with dedicated transport ships moving to refueling stations and naval bases.
* Update your superiors about the situation.
* Redeploy or contract to take back the colony.

<big>Requisitions</big>
The United Nations Space Navy is tasked with keeping the United Nations Marine Corps supplied with all the equipment, ammunition, medical supplies, and other items they need to keep the peace. These goods are brought to local United Nations naval bases, stations, and outposts, which are then transferred onto UNSN vessels during refueling and shore leave.

<div style="text-align:center; margin-top:-10px;">
Historically, the vessels of the UNSN were required to regularly restock after an operation. However, following the installation of the Automated Storage Retrieval System and ARES Mainframe onto UNSN ships, the duration of a ship's operational capacity has been extended drastically, allowing for patrol vessels to continue their duties for long periods of time without need to restock.
Interstellar Life Rights Council Peacekeeper
ASRS
</div>
The Automated Storage Retrieval System is an advanced program capable of sorting, organizing, and retrieving various items from within a ship's hold. Connected to a console placed inside a vessel's requisitions bay, it allows the crew of a ship to request items from within their ship's cargo-hold, which is taken out of their allocated budget and brought up. The key to the ASRS' functionality is the ARES mainframe, which allows the state-of-the-art AI to quickly find the requested items and ship them up; it's also capable of repaying returned boxes or sold items placed in the ASRS in the form of budget allocation.

ILRC Peacekeepers are neutral support forces deployed to conflict zones to stabilize colonies, observe ceasefires, and protect civilian populations. They are not a standing army and do not participate in wars or territorial defense. Their mandate strictly limits the use of force to self defense or the immediate protection of civilians. Typically equipped with light armour, many Peacekeepers join out of a sense of duty to protect the civilians present in the sector.

Peacekeepers operate under political and legal constraints, needing consent of the colony's host and adherence to the Stellar Accords. As a result, their deployments are often delayed. While officially neutral, their operations are largely funded by the United Nations and the Three Suns Empire, with the Socialist Progressive Peoples (SPP) providing minimal resources for the sole purpose of protecting their own.

Ranks: Interstellar Life Rights Observer

Interstellar Life Rights Observers (ILRO) are field agents deployed by the ILRC to monitor combat zones and conflict areas where war crimes or humanitarian abuses are suspected, and are also notified on first contact with new interstellar life. Operating under neutrality agreements, these observers document violations, interview witnesses, and compile reports on atrocities committed by governments, corporations, or otherwise. Its partly a PR stunt however, their presence serves as a deterrent against blatant abuses, and their findings are often used to pressure violators through media exposure or diplomatic channels. However, ILRO teams frequently face hostility from both sides of a conflict and are criticized for being ineffective in preventing atrocities in lawless regions.
Engineering
The Engineering Department is responsible for maintaining the complex, multifaceted systems on-board a UNSN vessel. These range from fusion reactors to the weaponry on-board the ship, as well as any dropships, gunships, or fighter-craft contained within a vessel. Although their duties are typically more relaxed during patrol-duty, the engineering team is responsible for keeping the ship in working order when ship-to-ship combat occurs, repairing hull breaches and vital electrical systems to keep the ship working long-enough to either take out hostiles, or retreat from any threats.

ILROs may be seen in game deploying along side the Colony Marshal Bureau.

ICB Liaisons are the primary means that the ICB utilizes to enforce it's authority. While typically unarmed, the power these Liaisons wield isn't to be scoffed at: They are auditors, investigators, and enforcers, capable of leveraging financial charges if they find evidence of unlawful business activity. Their duties typically consist of investigating anomalies in cargo manifests and financial records, searching ships for contraband, and making sure that work-spaces meet interstellar standards set by the ICB. Due to their lack of weaponry or equipment, they're often deployed alongside members of the Colony Marshal Bureau.

The Provost Marshal's Office is an organization within the UN tasked with ensuring the Uniform Code of Military Justice is being properly enforced and not being misused aboard UN warships. They are the ultimate authority on anything justice related, and are led by the Provost Chief Marshal.
</div>
Ranks: Doctor

Scientists are a common sight in sectors such as Zephyron. Hailing from a variety of different disciplines and fields, they are leaders in innovation and research. Scientists are typically spotted wearing labcoats, latex gloves, and Reagent-Hud glasses, and can be found within laboratories and research institutes.
The PMO has one sub-organization, which is the Provost Intelligence Department, which is usually responsible for UN internal affairs and foreign intelligence.

* Try to learn more about your selected field of study.
The Provost Marshal Office is headed by a Provost Chief Marshal, who is tasked with overseeing the entirety of the PMO, liaising and cooperating with Marine High Command, and selecting Sector Marshals. Sector Marshals are responsible for handling Provost and Military Police related matters within a specific sector, delegating to their Marshal subordinates to handle more specific incidents and situations on UNMC ships.
* Redeploy or contract to take back the colony.

Beneath the Marshals are Provost Inspectors; often placed aboard a vessel to make sure that abuses of authority are not conducted and new members of the Military Police are properly inducted and taught. They are the highest authority regarding the Uniform Code of Military Justice and its interpretation, even above the Commander of the warship they are stationed on.

<div style="text-align:center; margin-top:-10px;">
The Provost Marshal Office maintains a small force of Enforcers, deployed to protect Provost Officials, or to quell mutinies which threaten the safety of the UN and authority of the UNMC.

Ranks: Doctor

Xenobiologists are scientist who are well-versed in the study of interstellar flora and fauna. Their scientific endeavors range from mundane animals and plantlife found on other worlds, as well as more exotic or interesting creatures, such as the Xenonids. Part of their duties involve learning the practical applications of these various species, and how they could benefit society at-large. Equipped with labcoats and glasses, many of them have found employment under Weston-Yamada's R&D Division, specifically the Xenobiology Department.
Operations
The Provost Marshal Office oversees the various operations of the Military Police stationed on UNMC and UNSN vessels. As each Military Police Department ordinarily answers to the Commander of a vessel, and not the PMO, they will typically not intervene in MP matters beyond responding by fax, unless a severe breach of Marine Law has occurred. Another aspect of their role is updating Marine Law to meet the intentions and needs of the Provost Marshal Office, and aiding High Command with updating Standard Operating Procedures to avoid any conflicts with Marine Law.

* Survive the Xenonid outbreak.
As they service only the Military branches of the UN, the Provost Marshal Office and by extension, the Military Police under them, are entirely barred from arresting civilians excepting two circumstances; when a civilian violates Marine Law while in an AO or aboard a UN warship, or when authorized to by a Sector Marshal.

Engineers are responsible for the maintenance and construction of a colony's infrastructure. Equipped with high-visibility vests, hard-hats, and insulated gloves, their tasks typically cover maintenance of the local power grid, repairing damage to buildings and systems, and getting broken machines back into working order. On the Frontier, their job is of vital importance, as even one broken subsystem could spell doom for a colony.

Organization
<div style="text-align:center; margin-top:-10px;">
Unlike the Provost Marshal Office or UNSN, the United Nations Medical Service has very little in terms of stratified bureaucracy and ranks. Although all broadly under the UNMS, personnel under it do not follow the orders of higher-ranks within the branch, solely answering to their respective supervisors. As a result, the UNMS lacks a rigid chain of command.
Cargo Technicians
</div>

Cargo Technicians are the workers who keep the movement of goods consistent and fast. Serving as the backbone for the various ports and colonies on the frontier, they help load and unload goods, check manifests, report discrepancies, and coordinate the destinations of various products. Without them, the high-maintenance machine of interstellar logistics They're usually found wearing more casual gear, such as beanies and caps, as well as less formal uniforms.
Despite this, the UNMS is headed by the Surgeon General, who is responsible for establishing the regulations of the branch, publishing documentation regarding medical advice, information, and health warnings, as well as organizing large-scale medical relief or aid efforts. Advising them on various matters are highly-trained military and civilian doctors, representing the best in their fields.

The United Nations Medical Service is responsible for ensuring that all members are trained and equipped for providing medical aid and support, offering lessons and training within both bootcamps, designed to instruct Corpsmen on first-aid services, and Officer Academies, which have courses teaching advanced medical practices, surgeries, and chemical production.

<div style="text-align:center; margin-top:-10px;">
They also handle biological and chemical research undertaken by the UNMC. Small groups of researchers may be dispatched to UN warships, tasked with discovering various materials which could prove beneficial to Marine efforts across the galaxy. Due to the large territory the UNMC oversees, it’s not uncommon for UNMS to discover various new flora, fauna, and chemicals.
Colony Doctor
</div>
Ranks: Doctor

Doctors are skilled medical personnel, trained in providing care to patients suffering from a wide range of conditions, from injuries and infections to conditions and allergies. Their equipment is often simple but effective: Labcoats, scrubs, surgical caps, Healthmate HUDs, sterile masks, and latex gloves, all in order to provide the best care and reduce the risk of infections. They're also usually well-versed in surgery, which makes them vital members of any colony, especially on the dangerous frontier.
Occasionally, in times of crisis, the UNMS will be tasked with providing medical aid to United Nations civilian populations, especially after disasters or devastating conflicts. Such deployment is rare, and often requires situations which have left civilian medical institutions unable to respond, or when such a large population has been displaced and injured that civilian groups cannot properly respond.

* Survive the Xenonid outbreak.
During planetary quarantines within UN borders, when UNSN ships are required to blockade a colony, the UNMS will dispatch doctors and scientists to aid virological research and vaccine production, as although they are less specialised for such efforts compared to their civilian counterparts, they offer their own unique experiences and skillsets. Part of the UNMS’ duty is also establishing and regulating quarantine procedures that all branches of the UNMC must follow, following contact with unknown xenofauna or interactions with possibly hazardous bacteriums, viruses, and chemicals.
* Provide care to other members of the colony.
* Use your medical abilities to help the marine effort.
* Redeploy or contract to take back the colony.

WEYAMart Employees are the workers who staff WEYAMart, a subsidiary of Weston-Yamada focused on retail services. These Employees, wearing the standard WEYAMart uniform, blue vest, and cap, are usually expected to take up multiple jobs within a branch store: Cashier, Pharmacist, Shelf-Stocker, Produce/Meat Clerk, and Janitor are all roles that members of WEYAMart may be expected to take during their time with the store. They're also expected to meet Customer Service standards placed upon them by Weston-Yamada, ensuring that any trip to WEYAMart is, at the very least, tolerable.

* Survive the Xenonid outbreak.
* Maintain the Customer Service standards WEYAMart is known for.
* Check on the store to make sure it isn't too damaged.
* Redeploy or contract to take back the colony.

United Nations Space Navy

The United Nations Space Navy is a branch of the United Nations Marine Corps focused on the operation and maintenance of the UNMC's fleets, as well as handling military logistics for the UNMC.

This branch contains all typical navy related personnel, such as Engineering and Requisitions.

(In the spirit of keeping ranks and their titles easy to comprehend and understand, Navy ranks are not used or applicable to RMC.)

History

Like many United Nations military branches, the United Nations Space Navy was formed shortly after the formation of the United Nations Marine Corps as its primary transportation and ship-combat arm. Although combat was initially limited, the UNSN would see it's first major deployment during The Orthis War, mobilizing hundreds of different warships to aid in the effort to retake Orthis from the rebel force. Because of the forces they brought to bear, the UNSN was confident that they would be able to handle any significant resistance, and would be resting on their laurels as the ground was cleaned up.

These reforms would bear fruit during Operation Justice. As a result of strategic reorganization and tactical training, losses among the Navy during Justice would be limited and low, despite the disaster the operation proved to be on the ground.

Organization & Operations

The United Nations Space Navy is split up across multiple different fleets, which are stationed in multiple different regions, from the inner territories to the Frontier. These fleets are further subdivided into Task Forces, which are each tasked with patrolling and protecting an assigned sector.

The Space Navy is also required to maintain the ever-important logistics of the UNMC, with dedicated transport ships moving to refueling stations and naval bases.

Requisitions

The United Nations Space Navy is tasked with keeping the United Nations Marine Corps supplied with all the equipment, ammunition, medical supplies, and other items they need to keep the peace. These goods are brought to local United Nations naval bases, stations, and outposts, which are then transferred onto UNSN vessels during refueling and shore leave.

ASRS

The Automated Storage Retrieval System is an advanced program capable of sorting, organizing, and retrieving various items from within a ship's hold. Connected to a console placed inside a vessel's requisitions bay, it allows the crew of a ship to request items from within their ship's cargo-hold, which is taken out of their allocated budget and brought up. The key to the ASRS' functionality is the ARES mainframe, which allows the state-of-the-art AI to quickly find the requested items and ship them up; it's also capable of repaying returned boxes or sold items placed in the ASRS in the form of budget allocation.

Logistics Officer

Ranks: Second LT

The Logistics Officer (LO) is responsible for the entire Requisitions department, making sure that they are well stocked and that a constant flow of supplies are being sent down to the deployed marines.

Requisitions Technician

Ranks: Private / Private First Class / Lance Corporal

The Requisitions Technicians are responsible for delivering supplies to the dropship, making sure the Forward Operating Base is stocked and sorted properly, and saying "No" to marines that demand crayons.

Provost Marshal Office

The Provost Marshal's Office is an organization within the UN tasked with ensuring the Uniform Code of Military Justice is being properly enforced and not being misused aboard UN warships. They are the ultimate authority on anything justice related, and are led by the Provost Chief Marshal.

The PMO has one sub-organization, which is the Provost Intelligence Department, which is usually responsible for UN internal affairs and foreign intelligence.

Organization

The Provost Marshal Office is headed by a Provost Chief Marshal, who is tasked with overseeing the entirety of the PMO, liaising and cooperating with Marine High Command, and selecting Sector Marshals. Sector Marshals are responsible for handling Provost and Military Police related matters within a specific sector, delegating to their Marshal subordinates to handle more specific incidents and situations on UNMC ships.

The Provost Marshal Office maintains a small force of Enforcers, deployed to protect Provost Officials, or to quell mutinies which threaten the safety of the UN and authority of the UNMC.

THE UNITED NATIONS MEDICAL SERVICE

The United Nations Medical Service is a branch of the United Nations Marine Corps. Focused on providing medical training and aid, it specializes in a wide range of different fields and disciplines which work to help improve the services they provide.

This branch contains all medical related personnel, from Hospital Corpsmen, Medical Officers and Nurses.

Organization

Unlike the Provost Marshal Office or UNSN, the United Nations Medical Service has very little in terms of stratified bureaucracy and ranks. Although all broadly under the UNMS, personnel under it do not follow the orders of higher-ranks within the branch, solely answering to their respective supervisors. As a result, the UNMS lacks a rigid chain of command.

Below the Surgeon General are Medical Officers, each assigned to a sector, which oversee their own force of reserve medical personnel, kept in case of desperate situations requiring more medical support.

Operations

The United Nations Medical Service is responsible for ensuring that all members are trained and equipped for providing medical aid and support, offering lessons and training within both bootcamps, designed to instruct Corpsmen on first-aid services, and Officer Academies, which have courses teaching advanced medical practices, surgeries, and chemical production.
